Gillette of this city. Mr. Smith, who ia an invalid, was accompanied to Grants Pass by his son-in-law, J. J. Meyer, who will return to Texas in a short time. C. G. Gillette left Grants Pass a short time ago for Texas, for the purpose of accompanying his father-in-law to this city, but owing to the delay of telegrams, he passed Mr. Smith somewhere on the road. Atleburg. aged 71 I years died at his home in Merlin Tuesday, April 9. 181!. Funeral services wiM be held at the family honu in Merlin Wednesday after noon, with interment in Pleasant Valley cemetery. Mr. Atleburg la survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. M.' Mason, also of Merlin.
