There are many ways In which the Black Pattl Troubadours differ from all colored attractions, and a visit to see this heat of all shows when It conies to the Opera house, Thursday, April 15, will compel those who have been complaining that all shows are alike to qualify this statement by adding, except the Black Pattl Troubadours, and this year, the 13th Trans-American and California tour Is mapped out to over most all of the largo cities of the American continent. I If it hadn't been such a cold, rainy ! rfnv In f'Ai't if it hadn't been for that little word "it" the result, oi last Sunday's game would have been altogether a different story, but it Is all over now and the score stood 9 to 3 after the squall, with Med-; ford at the big end, so there you are. The game started off fine and t dandy, the Medford boys taking tho ; lead in the second Inning by send-: Ing one man across the home plate j and two more in the third, but the! fans In the grand stand didn't mind j this In the least taking it all good I naturedly with a "just wait and see" j smile on their countenance, for the ' game was young yet with time to j spare, and it wasn't until the seventh when the final blow-up came and the unexpected happened, that they real ized the jig was up and the big thing all over. The local boys lost all con trol of themselves and the ball too for that matter, and he who was fortunate to make a stop or grand stand play proceeded to see how far he could heave It back to the wilder ness. But the boys did well, taking everything into consideration, and although the score didn't stand ex actly to suit some of the more en thusiastic fans, the game was not quite bo bad as the score Indicates and the boys promise to put up a better article of ball hereafter. The next game will be next Sun day on the local groundB when the Jacksonville bunch will come down to get their neudlngs. The boys will probably go to Medford next week to get revenge.
