A bunch of steers were purchased
this week from Cal Blgelow of Wil
liams, and Bill York of Missouri
Flats, and driven to Medford.
D. Provolt celebrated his 78th
birthday Wednesday and had as his
guests a few of his friends and rel
atives. Mr. Provolt has lived on the
Applegate for 30 years, and the
valley was named after him IS
years ago.
If the people of this section had
not seen It In tho Courier they would
hardly realize that Christmas was bo
near, as we have had no winter to
speak of, and the trees look as
though they were ready to bloom.
