Mr. Champan was one of those sua

little fortune and he still has interests
there. On account of Mrs. Chapman s
ill health, however, tbey were com
pelled to return to the states aod she

Mrs Wade, mother of Mrs. O. D.
Sirgent, celebrated her 105th birthdaj,
on June 4th, at the home of ber
daughter on Upper Smith River. A
number of the neighbors were present
and'a pleasant time had. Mrs. Wade's
memory is good, she recounting Inci
dents of her early life in Canada,
wherb she was born, ber parents
being among the first to locate in
the then wilderenesa. Those present
wished Mrs. Wade many returns of
