The locreaae of stomach troubles
In Grants Paas has led Demaray to
take effective nieaaures to uombat the
diaeaie. He has the local agency for
Mi-o-na stomach tablets, and in order
to induce people suftVr ng with weak
stomsob or indignation to nie the
remedy, offers to supply it with the
distinct onderataudlng that money
will be refunded in every caae where
it does not cure.
Mi-o-na is not a mere digestive, but
an absolute strenglbeoer and bnilder-
up of the whole digestive tract. If
yon suffer with headaches, giddiness,
palpatation, bad taate in the month,
nervousueta, ooated tongue, distress
aftor eating, use Mi-o-na and see how
qolokly theas symptoms of a weak
atomaoh will disappear.
The remedy strengthens the musco
lsr walls of the stomach and Increases
ths flow of gastrlo juices so that
nourishments extracted from the food
and the refuse is expelled without
tha aid of purgative or laxative medi
olnes.
Remember that Demaray gives a
guarantee to refund the money uuless
it cure.
He takes all the 'rink, and there is
no danger of your tuning anything ex

the opinion that Inspector Eismanu's
expense bill was larger than necessary
or warranted by the work. The fruit
growers are of the opinion that a
competsnt man could be had for in
spector who wonld put in foil time
each day and by going horseback,
reduoe the traveling expenses to not
over i a day aud also be able to make
much better time and to visit more
orchards during a day by being able
to take short-cuts between farms thao
could be traveled by a team.
The rapid increase of the pests in
the United States, the Department of
Agriculture having identified over
1100 kinds of pests that are destructive
of fruits and fruit trees and thrubs
and vines, mase it imperative that
the fruit growers protect their in
dustry or soon the raising of fruit
will be rendered impossible. The ex
perts of the Department admit that
the blight will exterminate every
pear in the United States within the
next five years uuleig it can be
checked. So rapid and deadly has
been the ravages of this pest within
the laat 10 years that the pear in
dustry of the United States is prac
tically ruined except in a few moun
tain-locked districts like Rogue River
Valley. To guard against the iova
siou ot this deadly pest in Josephine
county will require the vigilenoe ot a
county inspector for the 12 months of
each ysar, yet the orchard area of this
county is not so large as to require
the inspector to put in full time each
mouth. By being alert and with the
co-operation of the fruit growers the
inspector could learn of infected fruit
trees and a few days of each month
would give him ample time in which
to force the owners to clean np their
trees.
It was decided to present a petition
to the county court at the April term
from the fruit growers stating their
wishes in regard to a county fruit iu
spector and a committee was ap
pointed oouipofed of George H. Par
ker, H. O. Bateham, J. T. Morrison,
Daniel Peterson, T. J. Mackin, C. F.
Oardwell and J. H. Robinson to cir
culate these petitions and to present
them to the county court. The meet

Colonist Rates.
As has been the custom for several
years past the Railroads leading to
the eoat have agreed on a colonist
rate, a little higher than in years
past, but still a very attractive rate,
and it ought to have the effect of
bringing a large number of immi

rate is effective from March 1st to
April 30th aud is substantially as fol
lows: from Chicago $H8; from Mis
