The board will make this appointment for the Medford District next Monday. Truant officer is to be notified by Superintended of neglect on part of the parent cr guardian to tend child ren to school and must send written notice in person or registered mail. Popil moil be'in school the following Monday with proper books. The truant officer will notify the super intendent at the same time and un less the child arprara in school the superintendent will again notify the traant officer who will file complaint against parent oi goardlan within ; three days., before a jtmtire of the peace. Said justice will issue war rant and upon conviction of parent or guardian the penalty falls as above. - The truant officer shall alio investi gate all cases of non-attendance at school. Any school official who fails in bin duty in the above after proper notifi cation is sobject to a fine of from t-r to f-0 for each offense. From the com plaint it seems that they were mar ried here iu Josephine county June 3, 1006, but that the wife deserted him during the month of September, 1906 and has ever since lived away from him. Attorney H. D. Norton bss entered suit on behalf of Addie Iilalock against her husband Norman H. Blalock, to whom she was married in Josephine county January 8, 1907 but who was it would seem not eligi ble to enter into the marriage con tract with her as he was still, she avers the husband of one Nettie Williams. But he says he deceived her and made her think that be was divorced frois the other woman, which she now believes was not the case and she thinks thst he Is still the husband of the Wil1iimi woman and so she wants the court to declare the marriage null and void. Because his wife, Hattle Gross de serted him in July, lflOfl Henry Gross to whom she was married io this county December 24. 1900 he appears In court by Geo. W. The new law abolishes the advertising feature, but provides that when tax becomes delinquent, any oue may pay the amount due and receive a certificate which entitles him to xisseasinn In cane prior owner fails to redeem the certificate with interest before the expiration of Hires years. It was voted as the sense of the association that the certificate plan does not ap ply to the 1907 levy. Miscellaneous.
