Bat 1907 opened with a decided change in weather conditions. On Wednesday night the sluice gates of the skies were thrown wide open and the deloge which fol lowed was enough to satisfy the most exaoting webfoot. On Thursday every gulch and ravine was a torrent and the little streams were' overflow ing and unreasonably irrinatino tha adjacent lauds. The rain followed a season of dark, threatening weather, chlllv and bln. tenng with little "akifta" of snow in the valleys, snow piling op in the mountains. .The rain came with a rise in temperature, the mildness of the air lending a pleasant quality which the wetness could only partially eradicate.
