Savage, Judge J. O. Booth and Comniissioneis Lovelace and Logan at their sersloa last week created two new school districts and changed the boundaries of two dis tries. The new boundary lines of the four districts are given in the pro ceedings of the. board published in another column. The districts having their boundary lines changed were 21 and 32. The north half of section 22, township .'id south, of range 6 west is taken from district S3 aud annexed to district 2d. This half sect. on lies on the south side of Rogue river three miles below Grants Pass and the change was made on the petition of Benton Borough and others residing on that tract. New district No. 48 is in the Galice section on lower Rngne river and is made from territory formerly em braced in district No. 17. There are qoite a number of settlers in this dis trict and a private school has been maintained both last year and this year. The school for this year now being in session withh Miss Pearl Cartor, of Kerby as teacher. The district has a flue new school house, located at Rand, that was bnilt last spring by the public spirited citizeus of the Galice niiuiug district, the money for the pnrpose being donated. New district No. 4U is located on the head waters of Louse Creek and it too has a good school home loc ted at Granite Hill, built by cnnlrihn tions from the mini rs at the Granite Hill mine and the settlers of that dis trict. For the last two years a pti vnte Fchool has bieu maintained at Granite Hill and school is now in session there with Miss Bristow teacher. Another Good Man Gone Wrong.
