A bunch of some SO horses which were being driten through the town, famished amusement for the npecta tors and annoyance for tho drovers, Monday forenoon. The animals were in a most obstrejx-rouB mood and were determined not to do any thing desired of them. They were firm in their resolve not to cross Hi railroad track und it wus - only after they hud broken away 11 number ol times und raced madly through the nearby streets until limited and brought back by the herders, that they were finally heniiued in by a semicircle of men and edged and backed across inch by inch. Once across the triteii they decided to ox plorn the railroad park on the east sido of Sixth strei t. The leader leap ed uim-iii the sidewalk nnd cleared the fence liks a bird. The others, jam med together like sardines, followed close on his footsteps. They crowded so close that there was not room for some of them to jump and ihcse wen jammed against tho fence, which was haokeu in the operation. The fence was protected by two barbed wiren and these were broueii and rolled their tierce coils iu both directions. Some of the horses must have been badly scratched, but none seemed Injured, 'no trim looking black horno wan thrown squarely on bi bak: and squirmed and wriggled like a cater pillar seemingly nnder the very hoofs of his plunging companions. It look id as though he would ha trampled into the earth but he arose unhurt. Tlio animals liked the taste of the grans in the park und decided to camp. I'hey raced around the bund stand w hen the drover trh d to drive them out and hud things very much their own way for some time. Ono of them juinHtd out to show how easy it was but promptly jumped in again. They were drivui up to the breach ill the fi nee but it was indiscernible to them. They turned their backs oil it and presented a solid front of bob bing heads to the herders. A horse man finally inveigled one into follow ing him through the opening and the aggregation followul, most of the preferring to jump the fence again instead of walking through the 0 n ing. In the street, they turned the wrong way witli evident niitlice und led the drovers a long and merry chase before they were linully herded across the bridge.
