are regarded by Mr. Garrison as easy
to accomplish. He also has different
kinds of peaches growing on a small
shoot.
Some years ago Mr. Garrison was the
recipient of a package from somewhere
up New York state containing a twig
which would, it was declared, produce
an apple half of which would be sour
and half sweet, Mr. Garris »n | lanted
it and it grew, But the apples were
sour all through. Mr. Garrison tried in
every way to produce the real article,
but w as finally compelled to admit that
he had been made the victim of a joke.
