Thefts and burglaries
• Theft, 5:53 p.m. July 24,
Walmart. An unknown person
left the store without paying for
$731 in merchandise.
• Shoplifting, 4:46 p.m. July
26, Walmart. Timothy Michael
Goza, 52, no known address,
was cited for third-degree theft,
criminal trespassing and crim-
inal mischief after he allegedly
attempted to leave the store
without paying for $15 in wine.
• Shoplifting, 3:33 p.m. July 27,
Fred Meyer. Gabriel Rain Goza,
29, of Warrenton was cited for
third-degree theft and criminal
trespassing after he allegedly left
the store without paying for an
undisclosed amount of merchan-
dise.
• Theft, 11:44 a.m. July 28, 1200
block King Avenue. A wom-
an reported someone stole a
Mercedes-Benz hood ornament
from her vehicle that was valued
at $81.
• Shoplifting, 1:10 p.m. July 28,
Walmart. Joshua Henry Mar-
shall, 37, of Seaside was cited
for third-degree theft after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $58 in
fragrance, pepper spray and an
electrical switch.
• Theft, 3:19 p.m. July 29, Costco.
Steven Michael Schrudder, 54,
no known address, was arrested
on suspicion of second-degree
theft after he allegedly attempt-
ed to leave the store with a $340
bicycle.
• Shoplifting, 7:12 p.m. July 29,
Walmart. Donald Max Mil-
liron, 18, of Redmond, Wash.,
was cited for third-degree theft
and criminal mischief after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for a Star
Wars game, headphones and a
smartwatch case valued at $55.
• Shoplifting, 8:53 p.m. July 30,
Walmart. Crystal Kalie Eleckel,
39, of Forest Grove was arrested
on a warrant issued by Washing-
ton County, second-degree theft
and criminal mischief after she
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $73 in
clothes, lights and headphones.
• Vehicle burglary, 9:23 a.m.
Aug. 1, 600 block North Main
Avenue. A man reported some-
one broke into his pickup and
stole $3,124 in power tools.

County records
54th COVID death
Clatsop County officially
has recorded 54 deaths con-
nected to COVID.
The death occurred in July
at a local hospital and the vic-
tim was elderly and partially
vaccinated, said Jiancheng
Huang, director of Public
Health.
“We extend our deepest
condolences to the loved
ones of this person,” Huang
said. “Every death is a sad
development in our efforts to
fight this disease.”
New cases are increasing in
Clatsop County and other re-
gions of the state because of a
new subvariant, he said.
A 17-year-old male driver from
Vancouver, Wash., was cited
for driving while restricted and
passing in a no-passing lane.
