Students perform
murder mystery

Warrenton High School
drama students will present
“Murder’s in the Heir,” an
audience participation mys-
tery-comedy, during four per-
formances next week.
Tickets are $8 and available
at the door, which opens half
an hour before performance
time.
Performances are at 7 p.m.
Teens can learn to
forage for plants
Teenagers can learn to for-
age through the Lewis and
Clark National Historical
Park Klahowya Youth volun-
teer program.
The class is set for 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21,
at the South Netul Landing,
The session is one of five
living history workshops held
this spring, with youth par-
ticipants agreeing to demon-
strate their new skills later
during public sessions at the
park.
Participants learn about na-
tive plants, their ecological
and cultural importance, and
how they can be used for con-
sumption and medicine.
The free workshop is lim-
ited to 10 high school or
high school age participants.

CCC Student Art
Show opens
Clatsop Community College
is having its annual Student
Art Show through June 10 in
the Royal Nebeker Gallery,
1799 Lexington Ave., Astoria.
The gallery exhibit is free
and open to the public from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday
through Friday.
The CCC Student Art Show
is an annual juried event that
showcases works created in
the various art courses of-
fered at the college during
the past two academic years,
including graphic design, ba-
sic design, drawing, painting,
ceramics, photography and
printmaking.
