Trail of Tears topic of talk A talk on the “Five Civi- lized Tribes” and the Trail of Tears is planned for the next meeting of the Astoria Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The five tribes were the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choc- taw, Creek and Seminole in Oklahoma as specified by the Dawes Act of 1887. The talk will be led by Macy Yates.
