Thefts and burglaries
• Shoplifting, 5:32 p.m. March 1,
Walmart. Jessica Weatherly, 31,
of Hammond was cited for sec-
ond-degree theft, criminal tres-
passing and criminal mischief
after she allegedly attempted to
leave the store without paying
for merchandise.
• Shoplifting, 4:49 p.m. March 3,
Fred Meyer. Samuel Joe John-
son, 31, no known address, was
cited for second-degree theft
and criminal trespassing after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for bed-
ding, antifreeze, and food valued
at $116.
• Vehicle burglary, 7:50 a.m.
March 4, Harbor Drive at Marlin
Avenue. Derick M. Tomason, 26,
no known address, was arrested
on suspicion of unlawful entry
into a motor vehicle.
• Attempted burglary, 8:05 a.m.
March 4, Anchor Avenue and
Harbor Drive. A business report-
ed an attempted break-in with
$200 damage to a door.
• Shoplifting, 6:54 p.m. March
4, Fred Meyer. Iddo Solomon
Dechter, 30, no known address,
was cited for second-degree theft
after he allegedly attempted to
leave the store with $173 in art
supplies. He also had an out-
standing warrant issued by the
Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office.
He was booked at Clatsop Coun-
ty Jail.
• Theft of fuel, 7:51 a.m. March
5, 2000 block Southeast Air-
port Lane. A business reported
the theft of $220 in fuel from a
heavy equipment truck.
• Shoplifting, 6:29 p.m. March
5, Walmart. Tahnika Dawn
Michell, 29, and Marilyn Lu-
cille Mobley, 56, both of Chi-
nook, Wash., were cited for
third-degree theft and criminal
trespassing after they allegedly
attempted to leave the store
without paying for $26 in food
items. Michell also was cited for
criminal trespassing and she
had a failure-to-appear war-
rant issued by Clatsop County
Circuit Court. Mobley also had a
failure-to-appear warrant from
Clatsop County Circuit Court.

Simmons, 31, no known address,
was cited for criminal mischief

A Coast Watch Cleanup
is set for noon Monday,
March 21, at the Sunset
Beach Recreation Site.
The event is sponsored
by the Lewis and Clark Na-
tional Historical Park staff
and includes a briefing on
the park’s Coast Watch
Program and a celebration
of the spring equinox.
Participants also will be
provided with gloves and
trash bags to help the park
clean the mile of coastline
it sponsors.
