Bailey, 45, of Warrenton was arrested on a felony fail- ure-to-appear warrant issued by Clatsop County Circuit Court. Thefts and burglaries • Shoplifting, 7:45 p.m. Oct. 8, Walmart. Joshua E. Toomey, 19, no known address, was cited for second-degree theft after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $307 in xBox and stereo items. • Auto burglary, 2:37 p.m. Oct. 19, 300 block North Main Avenue. A woman reported her $250 Ray-Ban sunglasses were stolen from her vehicle. • Shoplifting, 9 p.m. Oct. 19, Walmart. Chelsea M. Brown, 39, of Portland was cited for second-degree theft after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $147 in merchandise, including clothes, candles, a lamp, and quilting implements. • Shoplifting, 9:37 a.m. Oct. 21, Walmart. Joshua R. McAlpin, 33, no known address, was cited for third-degree theft and criminal mischief after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $40 in goods; he consumed a bottle of Coke, placed unpurchased shoes on his feet and threw away his old shoes, and removed tags and pulled a pair of Wrangler jeans over the pants he was wearing. • Counterfeit money, 9:38 a.m. Oct. 21, Sunset Empire Bus Barn. Two counterfeit $100 bills were received during a transac- tion that occurred outside city limits. Sheriff’s Office notified. • Shoplifting, 9:16 a.m. Oct. 22, Warrenton Mini Mart. Employ- ees reported a 31-year-old man from Seaside consumed food and beverages from the store without paying for them. • Identity theft, 12:57 p.m. Oct. 22, 0-100 block Northwest 17th Place. A resident reported some- one attempted to obtain a loan using her name, date of birth, and Social Security number. • Shoplifting, 1:17 p.m. Oct. 22, Staples. A man and woman left the store without paying for approximately $50 in merchan- dise. • Shoplifting, 4:34 p.m. Oct. 22, Walmart. Julee M. Nelson, 24, of Seaside was cited for second-de- gree theft after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $149 in office supplies and toiletries. • Shoplifting, 7:55 p.m. Oct. 23, Walmart. Harley O. Pritchard, 43, of Seaside was cited for third-degree theft and crimi- nal mischief after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for flea repellent, a file set, and sporting goods, of which he damaged the packages using a large knife. Suspicious circumstances and disturbances • Loitering, 11:14 a.m. Oct. 20, Walgreens. Corey E. Jones, 27, of Astoria was cited for crimi- nal mischief after she allegedly stayed in the store for two hours with a cart full of merchandise, refusing to pay, accept help or leave the store. Police arrived and found she allegedly had opened and damaged mer- chandise, and had merchandise hidden in her purse. She was trespassed from the property. • Trespassing, 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23, Youngs Bay Plaza. Misty Dawn Monson, 48, no known address, was cited for criminal trespass- ing after she returned to proper- ty from which she’d previously been trespassed. • Trespassing, 10:15 a.m. Oct. 24, Youngs Bay Plaza. Misty Dawn Monson, 48, no known address, was cited for criminal trespass- ing after she was found again on the property. • Illegal camping, 11 p.m. Oct. 25, under Skipanon Bridge. Brian Quaschnick, 50, no known address, was cited for criminal trespassing and offensive litter- ing after he was found camping on Oregon Department of Trans- portation right-of-way clearly marked with “no trespassing” signs. Traffic • Hit-and-run collision involving three vehicles, 10:23 a.m. Oct. 15, 1600 block Ensign Lane. One of the drivers who was struck by a copper-colored Toyota Tundra was cited for driving while suspended and having no insurance. • Hit-and-run collision, 9:35 a.m. Oct. 17, Fred Meyer parking lot. • Hit-and-run collision with Oregon Department of Trans- portation sign, 8:28 p.m. Oct. 17, Pacific and Heceta drives.
