Nieto, 40, of Meridian, Idaho, was booked for attempt- ing to elude a police officer and resisting arrest after an attempt- ed traffic stop. She also was cited for going 70 in a 55 mph zone, driving while suspended and having no insurance. • Drunken driving, 3:55 p.m. June 20, Highway 101 at Harbor Drive. Jake G. McCormick, 35, of Escanava, Mich., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Earlier in the evening, Eng- bretson presided over an em- ployee recognition of Larry Neahring, who is retiring after 30 years in the city’s utility de- partment. “I will miss you around here,” she told Neahring. “You are one of the long-timers. You’ve always been a dependable and trusted employee.” Operations Manager Kyle Sharpsteen added, “Every- where we go, there’s Larry’s mark on everything – in a good way.
