Penner’s family moved from Finland to the Los An- geles area when she was a child. In 1951, she moved to Astoria, where her mother ran a small restaurant. She attended local schools and earned a master’s degree in anthropology from the Uni- Library to hold its $5 bag sale Warrenton Community Library will hold a book bag sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the li- brary, 160 S. Main Ave. Shoppers can fill a bag with books for just $5. Graduation for CCC is June 18 Clatsop Community Col- lege will hold a double grad- uation on Friday, June 18. The scenic run across the bridge is the only time pe- destrians are allowed on the longest continuous truss bridge in North America.
