Apply for that job. … I en- courage you to live intentionally and to be tenacious in everything you do.” The June 11 ceremony for the 103rd graduating class of War- renton High School began with singing of the National Anthem by classmate Marlie Annat and a brief talk by Principal Josh Jan- nusch. “Graduation is an exciting time,” Jannusch said. “It’s both an end- ing and a beginning. This year in particular is filled with memories. … This year is one like no other for us. Your class has taken all the changes in stride. We definitely had to do things in a different way this year and you excelled.” Salutatorian Ann Heyen told classmates they’re graduating with a true understanding of what it means to be a Warrior. “Despite the fact our mascot is a purple W, the class of 2021 has embodied the spirit of a warrior more than any other class.” Before diplomas were handed out by the school board, those gathered were treated to a slide show of their high school years as well as home snapshots of the se- niors as children.
