could threaten a proposed new rent-
al agreement with Pizutti’s Wood-
Fired Pizza, which came before the
agency Feb. 9.
“It’s important that this thing gets
finished and construction started in
June or July,” Mayor Henry Balen-
sifer said when the Urban Renewal
Agency discussed the pizza truck
agreement.
While the city may have to address
the availability of public restrooms
too, he’s not keen on a permanent
structure.
“I don’t think the city wants to be
involved in building brick-and-mor-
tar bathrooms there,” Balensifer
said. “Those things are maintenance
nightmares.”
Volunteers needed to
be child advocates
Court Appointed Special Advo-
cates seeks volunteers to serve as
the voice for local children in the le-
gal system.
CASA volunteers represent chil-
dren who have been abused or ne-
glected.
An informational meeting is set
for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, via
Zoom.
