Public safety calls
Assaults
• Stabbing, 6:53 p.m. Feb. 1, out-
side Motel 6 on Marine Drive,
Astoria. One man was stabbed
three times on his arm; a second
man had facial injuries from a
fight.
Thefts and burglaries
• Shoplifting, 11:25 p.m. Jan. 26,
Walmart. Ethan K. Adams, 32,
of Astoria was cited for third-de-
gree theft and criminal trespass-
ing after he allegedly attempted
to leave the store without paying
for $74 in waterproof matches
and vehicle accessories.
• Shoplifting, 7:34 p.m. Jan.
29, Home Depot. Deana Dun-
can, 39, of Portland was cited
for third-degree theft after she
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for a Goo-
gle Home Nest valued at $70.
• Shoplifting, 8:21 p.m. Jan. 29,
Walmart. Elliot Leon Scott, 51,
no known address, was cited
for second-degree theft after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for a porta-
ble DVD player and four lighters
valued at $118.
• Shoplifting, 10:30 p.m. Jan.
29, Walmart. William F. Bagley,
32, of Warrenton was cited for
second-degree theft and crim-
inal mischief after he allegedly
attempted to leave the store
without paying for $242 in
clothes, makeup and hair dye.
Kaneeya L. Pratt, 32, of Warren-
ton, who was with Bagley, was
cited for criminal trespassing as
she has had six prior incidents
with Walmart and previously
had been trespassed from all
Walmart properties, according
to a police report.
• Shoplifting, 5:19 p.m. Jan. 30,
Walmart. Steven L. Wonser,
70, of Raymond, Wash., was
cited for second-degree theft
and criminal mischief after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for a beer,
jacket and Sterno fuel valued at
$120.
• Shoplifting, 7:13 p.m. Jan. 30,
Walmart. Anthony D. Painter,
34, of Seaside was cited for
second-degree theft after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $129
in food, beer, antifreeze, sexual
lubricant and clothes.
• Shoplifting, 10:53 p.m. Jan. 30,
Walmart. Domenika M. Galpren,
33, of Warrenton was cited for
Clatsop County’s only independent weekly newspaper

man, 32, no known address, was
cited for second-degree theft
after he selected a car jack and
car stands valued at $205 from
store shelves and attempted
to trade them for cash at the
customer service counter. When
he was denied, he attempted to
leave the store without paying
for them.
Suspicious circumstances
and disturbances
• Criminal mischief, 3:54 p.m.
Jan. 28, Warrenton United
Methodist Church. Oil from
a shed on the property was
dumped into the church’s water
fountain and a yard ornament
was broken.
• Disturbance, 8:11 a.m. Jan. 29,
Youngs Bay Plaza. A 38-year-old
homeless man was trespassed
from the center for harassing
and acting aggressively toward
employees at the Starbucks.

• Vehicle into ditch, 5:20 a.m.
Jan. 27, Southwest Third Street
and Alder Avenue. Driver cited
for driving while suspended.
• Traffic stop, 2:46 p.m. Jan. 28,
Pacific Drive and Jetty Street.
Jeremy J. Hudak, 36, of Ham-
mond was cited for criminal
failure to carry and present a
license and for driving while
suspended.
• Rear-end collision, one injury,
3:05 p.m. Jan. 28, South Main
Avenue at 11th Street. One driver
was cited for following too close-
ly. The other driver was taken
to Columbia Memorial Hospital
after complaining of pain.
