• Possible assault, 11:39 a.m.
April 15, Wendy’s parking lot.
Steven Daniel Dancsa, 32, of
Beaverton was arrested on a war-
rant from Washington County.
He was cite-released due to
COVID-19 protocols. No signs of
assault were found or reported
by the two women in the vehicle
with him.

• Theft and criminal mischief,
1:29 p.m. April 13, Bank of the
Pacific. Someone tore open the
back of the air conditioning unit
and removed parts.
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $286 in
merchandise.
• Shoplifting, 4:02 p.m. April 15,
Fred Meyer. Clarissa L. Moore,
31, of Astoria was cited for
third-degree theft and criminal
trespassing after she allegedly
left the store without paying
for $92 in merchandise. Police
stopped the vehicle, in which
she as a passenger, a short time
later.
• Shoplifting, 6:18 p.m. April 14,
Walgreens. Two women worked
together to steal $231 in beauty
products and left the store with-
out paying.
• Shoplifting, 2:50 p.m. April
16, Fred Meyer. Hannah L.
Havranek, 29, of Astoria was
cited for second-degree theft
and criminal trespassing after
she attempted to leave the store
without paying for $207 in
clothes, toiletries, cosmetics, a
backpack and other items.
• Stolen boat and equipment,
7:54 a.m. April 15, Skipanon Ma-
rina. Lonie Charles Davis Jr., 41,
no known residence, was arrest-
ed on suspicion of theft, unau-
thorized use of a motor vehicle,
and criminal trespassing. He was
booked at Clatsop County Jail.
• Stolen firearm, 12:42 p.m.
April 17, Cannon Beach Surf and
Mercantile. A firearms transfer
was denied when a written serial
number came back as stolen.
The number was corrected and
the 1915 Stevens 22-caliber rifle
was cleared for sale.
• Shoplifting, 3:45 p.m. April
15, Fred Meyer. Christopher A.
Monroe, 38, of Seaside was cited
for second-degree theft after he

and Discovery lanes. One driver
was cited for failing to obey a
traffic signal; the other was cited
for having no insurance.

• Naked couple having sex on
the beach in front of passers-by,
6:53 p.m. April 15, near Sunset
Beach Access. The couple, ages
34 and 33 from Astoria, were
found to be impaired and were
cited for public indecency. A
family member was called to
drive them and their vehicle off
the beach.
• Felon attempting to purchase
a firearm, 2:54 p.m. April 16,
Johnson’s Gun Shop in Ham-
mond. Case turned over to Clat-
sop County District Attorney’s
Office.

• Failing to yield to emergency
vehicle, 6:45 p.m. April 7, South-
west First Street and Southwest
Main Court. Driver cited.
• Reckless driving, 3:54 p.m.
April 14, 1800 block South Main
Avenue. William C. Whiteside,
34, of Warrenton was arrested
on suspicion of reckless driving,
reckless endangerment and at-
tempting the elude an officer. He
also was cited for driving while
suspended and driving without
insurance.
• Reckless driving, 2:11 p.m.
April 15, Highway 30 eastbound
between Knappa and Westport.
Thomas S. Hixon, 80, of Silver-
dale, Wash., was arrested for
reckless driving and he was tak-
en to the Portland VA Hospital
after it was determined he was a
danger to himself and others on
the road.
• Reckless driving, 9:42 p.m.
April 15, Northwest Warrenton
Drive at Northwest Seventh
Street. Jeffrey D. Wright, 41, of
Warrenton was cited for reckless
driving and failing to perform

April 17, 100 block Northeast
Skipanon Drive. Eva L. Puckett,
40, of Warrenton was arrested
on suspicion of driving under
the influence of intoxicants and
two counts of reckless endanger-
ing. She was booked at Clatsop
County Jail, where her blood-al-
cohol content was recorded at
0.16 percent.
• Traffic stop, 7:44 p.m. April 18,
South Main Avenue at South-
west Ninth Street. Driver cited
for having no insurance.
• Traffic stop, 8:05 p.m. April
18, South Main Avenue near
Arnie’s. Driver cited for having
no insurance.
• Single-vehicle crash into
woods, 7:12 a.m. April 19, High-
way 26, 17 miles east of Seaside.
The 75-year-old driver from Wil-
sonville told police he fell asleep
at the wheel.
• Drunken driving, 5:06 p.m.
April 19, Highway 26 at Sad-
dle Mountain turnoff. A driver
reported a white Subaru was
driving into oncoming traffic
and off the shoulder of the high-
way. The reporting driver was
able to get the impaired driver
to stop and offered to drive for
him or call him a sober driver;
the man refused and continued
down the highway. State police
stopped him a short time later
and his blood-alcohol level was
recorded at 0.21 percent. An-
thony Marcus Light, 31, no city
given, was arrested on suspicion
of driving under the influence
of intoxicants, driving with an
open container and failure to
drive within his traffic lane.
• Speeding, 8:12 p.m. April 19,
Harbor Drive at Heron Street.
Driver cited for going 67 in a 35
mph zone.
• Hit-and-run collision, 8:07
p.m. April 20, Warrenton Mini
Mart. Mathew W. Curnow, 48,
of Chinook, Wash., was arrested
on suspicion of driving under
the influence of intoxicants, hit-
and-run with property damage,
hit-and-run striking an individ-
ual, and reckless driving. He was
booked at Clatsop County Jail,
where his blood-alcohol content
was recorded at 0.14 percent.
