was found on the waterfront trail
near Northwest Seventh Street
and cited for second-degree
theft.
• Shoplifting, 7:40 p.m. Oct.
22, 600 block Marlin Ave-
nue. Chelsey J. Gutierrez, 28,
was arrested on suspicion
of second-degree theft after
she allegedly left Fred Meyer
without paying for a tent, food
and clothes valued at $142. She
also was charged with heroin
possession, she had an outstand-
ing Clatsop County Sheriff’s
warrant, and she was cited for
criminal trespassing, since she’d
previously been trespassed from
the store. Gutierrez was booked
at Clatsop County Jail.
• Burglary, 11:37 a.m. Oct. 22,
800 block Fifth Avenue, Ham-
mond. Someone broke the lock
on a garden shed and stole a
5-gallon plastic can with gas-
oline. Total loss was valued at
$47.
• Shoplifting, 9:21 p.m. Oct. 23,
Walmart. James V. Vallozzi,
46, of Oil City, Penn., was cited
with third-degree theft after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $85 in
women’s lingerie and shoes.
• Shoplifting, 12:27 a.m. Oct. 25,
Walmart. Gregory S. Adams,
37, of Hammond was cited for
second-degree theft after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $157 in
collectable sports cards.
• Shoplifting, 12:38 p.m. Oct. 26,
Walmart. Michael A. Shields,
42, no known address, was cited
for second-degree theft after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $232 in
clothes and rugs.
• Theft by fraud, 5:15 p.m. Oct.
27, Walmart. Trisha J. Watts,
37, of Nehalem was cited for
third-degree theft and criminal
trespassing after she allegedly
selected $66 in merchandise
from the store, placed them in
a shopping bag and returned
the items through the customer
service counter in exchange for a
gift card.

• Trespassing, 9:36 a.m. Oct. 21,
Fred Meyer. Chelsey J. Gutier-
rez, 28, was cited for criminal
trespassing after she returned to
the store where she’d previously
been trespassed.
• Man waving gun at vehicles,
2:19 p.m. Oct. 22, Youngs
Bay Bridge. Officers ordered a
40-year-old man to the ground
at gunpoint, cuffed and searched
him. The man began laughing
and admitted he’d waved around
a black PVC pipe shaped like
a gun as he walked along the
bridge. He agreed to discard the
item.
• Disturbance, 9:15 p.m. Oct. 23,
Warrenton Mini Mart. Brandon
R. Gillette, 40, no known ad-
dress, was arrested on suspicion
of disorderly conduct.
• Man down/unknown problem,
3:39 a.m. Oct. 26, Warrenton
Mini Mart. Medics tended to a
37-year-old man at the location.
A second man, Devin Michael
Fields, 27, no known address,
was arrested on an outstanding
warrant from Clatsop County.
He was booked at Clatsop Coun-
ty Jail.
• Vandalism, 1:34 p.m. Oct. 26,
Warrenton Marina launch area
restrooms. An employee re-
ported someone broke into the
locked men’s restroom overnight
and there was trash and hypo-
dermic needles on the floor and
in the toilet.
• Trespassing, 8:42 a.m. Oct.
28, 1600 block Northwest Peter
Iredale Road. Two men and a
16-year-old girl from Hammond
were given trespass notices after
they were found in a transient
camp inside the boundaries of
Fort Stevens State Park.
