Avenue. Joseph Wade Taylor,
22, of Warrenton was arrested
on suspicion of second-degree
assault, harassment and disor-
derly conduct. He was booked at
Clatsop County Jail.

Apartments. Randy R. Shumak-
er, 61, no known address, was
arrested on a probation violation
warrant.

he allegedly was twice caught
on surveillance camera hauling
items to the city’s large metal
trash bin.

Walmart. Paul V. Ashworth, 34,
of Seaside was cited for third-de-
gree theft after he allegedly
attempted to leave the store
without paying for a $10 hat.
• Shoplifting, 3:35 p.m. July 31,
Walmart. Stephanie L. Knudt-
son, 35, of Seaside was cited
for third-degree theft after she
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $3 in
beer.

25, of Lacey, Wash., was cited
for second-degree theft after he
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $122 in
housewares.

second-degree theft after she
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $151 in

Astoria was cited for third-degree
theft and criminal mischief after
