Walmart. Catherine L. Jundt,
50, and Kevin L. Willett, 62,
both of Gearhart were cited for
second-degree theft and crimi-
nal mischief after they allegedly
attempted to leave the store
without paying for $176 in food,
candy, makeup and toiletries.
• Shoplifting, 2:30 p.m. July 16,
Walmart. Carolyn J. Peschl, 70,
of Astoria was cited for third-de-
gree theft after she allegedly
attempted to return merchandise
she’d concealed in her purse for
a gift card.
• Burglary, 1:21 p.m. July 18, Ski-
panon Marine and RV. Someone
stole a $120 battery out of an RV
parked on the lot.
• Theft, 1:35 p.m. July 19, Verizon
Store. A man stole a $1,080 cell
phone from the display area and
