Second St. A woman said she al-
lowed a homeless man to shower
at her apartment and he bit her
finger. Brandon Robert Gillette,
40, was arrested on suspicion of
fourth-degree assault.

• Stolen boat motor, 4:09 p.m.
July 1, 2200 block Salal Loop.
A man reported someone stole
a Yamaha 8-horsepower kicker
motor off the back of his boat,
which was parked in front of his
house.
• Shoplifting, 6:40 p.m. July 4,
Walmart. Angela R. Hakala, 37,
of Seaside was cited for third-de-
gree theft after she allegedly
attempted to leave the store
without paying for $17 in jewelry
and makeup.
• Burglary, 9:46 a.m. July 9, 900
block Southeast 13th Place. A
man reported someone entered
his vacant rental house and
stole the water heater, leaving
the main water inlet flowing.
The water heater was valued at
$200.
• Stolen license plate, 1:42 p.m.
July 9, unknown location in
Warrenton.
• Shoplifting, 11:40 a.m. July 13,
Walmart. Nicholas H. Middle-
ton, 25, of Astoria was cited for
second-degree theft and crim-
inal mischief after he allegedly
attempted to leave the store
without paying for $145 in paint
guns, paint and tools.
• Shoplifting, 1:17 p.m. July 13,
Fred Meyer. A man left the store
without paying for a $55 pair
of Vans shoes. He put the new
shoes on his feet and left his old
shoes in the box on the shelf.
• Shoplifting, 5:55 p.m. July 14,
Rite Aid. Joshua R. Feagan,
27, of Astoria was cited for
third-degree theft after allegedly
attempting to leave the store
without paying for items valued
at $12.

July 10, L&D Race Tech. Some-
one took the cover off a winch
and attempted to remove copper
from the electric motor. Cost to
replace the winch was estimated
at $500.

behind Shilo Inn. Todd Michael
Schmale, 55, no known address,
was arrested on suspicion of
criminal trespassing and illegal
camping.
