Warrenton United Meth-
odist Church has been rais-
ing funds to help young ones
in times of extreme stress.
They bought teddy bears
for Warrenton Fire Depart-
ment and delivered them
Monday morning.
The church has donated
the bears for several years.
The tiny bits of comfort are
given to children who are
present when tragedies oc-
cur, such as vehicles crashes
and home fires.

Warrenton United Methodist Church members Linda Ryan and
Dave Warren deliver 250 teddy bears to Fire Chief Tim Demers.
“You wouldn’t believe how
many of these bears we give
away a year,” Demers said.
“We are called out on 1,200
calls per year … the bears
are the perfect size to give
to kids during an emergen-
cy response.”
