‘Homeless’ man jailed after crime spree
The Columbia Press
A man who told officers he
was a “homeless broke man”
was arrested twice in two
days on a variety of theft and
weapons violations.
Keith E. Myren, 68, first
was arrested at 9:30 a.m.
Aug. 3 after police received
a call that he was pointing a
rifle at someone near South
Main Avenue and Alternate
Highway 101, according to a
Warrenton Police report.
Myren was arrested the fol-
lowing day on suspicion of
pulling a knife on a Walmart
employee and leaving the
store with $1,000 in mer-
chandise packed in one of
the store’s shopping carts.
He had been released from
jail the previous day.
The arrests stem from three
days of problems attributed
to Myren at various locations.
On Aug. 3, Fort Stevens
State Park reported he’d tak-
en firewood from a campsite
the previous night and gone
from site to site asking peo-
ple for marijuana, according
to a probable cause report.
Next, Uptown Café re-
