worth of items taken: savings
bonds, a sleeping bag, backpack,
clothes, military service medals

June 1, Fred Meyer parking lot.
An employee’s black 1995 Honda
Accord was stolen from the park-
ing lot. The officer who took the
report, returned to the parking
lot to check vehicles left after
closing for any possible stolen
vehicles that could have been
dumped there. A dark blue 1997
Acura without any license plates
and with a damaged ignition
was found. It had been reported
stolen out of Beaverton. Be-on-
the-lookout reports were issued
for the Honda along the coast as
well as in the Beaverton area.
• Trespassing, 5:52 p.m. June 3,
Fred Meyer. Suzanne Snodgrass,
48, with no known address,
was arrested on suspicion of
trespassing and possession of a
controlled substance/metham-
phetamine.
• Two-vehicle noninjury collision,
10:45 a.m. June 4, Dollar Tree
parking lot.
• Traffic stop, 5:05 p.m. June 4,
Ensign Lane and Highway 101.
Driver cited for failing to renew
her registration.
• Transients sleeping, drinking
beer and urinating in the bushes
at the bus stop, 10:17 a.m. June
4, outside Fred Meyer. Tran-
sients were moved along and

• Shoplifting, 7:43 p.m. June 4,
Costco. Ashley N. Deman, 26, of
Redmond was arrested on sus-
picion of third-degree theft and
second-degree trespassing.
• Theft of firearm, 4:25 p.m. June
7, 0-100 block Southeast King
Avenue. A man reported his
$450 Taurus PT 9-mm semi-au-
tomatic handgun was stolen
from the center console of his
truck.
• Robbery, 2:03 p.m. June 10,
outside Fred Meyer. A 43-year-
old man told police he had spent
the past two days with local
“hobos” who drank with him
and then, while he was sleeping
beside a slough, they stole his
wallet and cell phone and rolled

• Transients drinking at the bus
stop and yelling at a bus driv-
er who advised them to move
along, 9 a.m. June 5, outside
Fred Meyer.
• Intoxicated male passed out in
the recycling area, 10:29 a.m.
June 5, Fred Meyer. Paramedics
were called. The 58-year-old
man with no known address was
trespassed from the business.
Paramedics returned to the loca-
tion at 4:12 p.m. for an intoxicat-
ed male on sidewalk.
• Transient sleeping in foyer,
11:07 a.m. June 6, visitor center
in Youngs Bay Plaza. Someone
formed a bed from the cushioned
chairs and newspapers and left
items behind in the enclosed
area outside the center.
• Men fighting, 12:40 p.m. June
7, outside Fitness 1440. One
man was trespassed from the
business.
• Dog at large, 5:34 p.m. June
10, 100 block Northwest Cedar
Avenue. A Warrenton man was
issued a citation for having a dog
running at large.

Youngs Bay Plaza parking lot.
An Astoria woman’s red Toyota
Camry was struck while she was
shopping in one of the stores.
• Speeding, 11:03 p.m. June 7,
Highway 101 at Alternate High-
way 101. Driver cited for going
65 in a 45 mph zone, for having
no operator’s license and for
driving without insurance.
• Two-vehicle noninjury collision,
4:23 p.m. June 8, Highway 101
and Turlay Lane.
• Traffic stop, 5:20 p.m. June 9
Lake and Pacific drives, Ham-
mond. Driver cited for driving
while suspended and driving
without insurance.

obeying a traffic control device.

Driver cited for going 63 in a 45

Warrenton Drive. The driver of a
black Audi looked away from the
road to adjust her defroster and
drove into the ditch. No injuries.
