Jam session, classes part of Tenor Guitar Gathering
The ninth annual Tenor
Guitar Gathering is set for
June 8 through 10 at Pier 39
in Astoria.
It will bring accomplished
jazz and acoustic performers
together for jamming on gui-
tars, banjos, mandolins and
harmonicas.
The festival includes work-
shops, classes and special
performances
throughout
the weekend.
Joanna Wallfisch will lead a
class on songwriting, one of
many classes and sessions.
The main jam session will
be from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday,
June 8, at the Astor Street
Opry Company playhouse
on Bond Street. Jam ses-
sion tickets are $20 at the
door.
