iff following a meeting of the
Rural Law Enforcement Dis-
trict committee.
The group, which advises
the Clatsop County Board of
Commissioners on matters
in rural parts of the county,
meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday,
April 5, in the conference
room at the Sheriff’s Office,
1190 S.E. 19 St.
The meeting allows the
Sheriff’s Office to brief the
board and residents on the
activities and programs the
agency is conducting.
The main agenda item
is the 2018-19 budget.
The public will have a chance
to speak and address issues,
concerns and suggestions.
At the end, Sheriff Tom Ber-
gin will be available to talk
with attendees personally.
NW architecture
is topic of talk
Northwest architecture and
civic projects is the topic of a
lecture Thursday in the Lovell
Showroom at Fort George
Brewery, corner of 14 and
Duane streets, Astoria.
The speaker is John Good-
enberger, a historic preserva-
tion and restoration instruc-
tor at Clatsop Community
College. Some of the projects
he’ll cover are construction of
Reservoir No. 2 and the effort
to raise downtown Astoria by
4 feet to get it up and out of
the wetlands.
The talk is part of the Ales
and Ideas series sponsored by
the college and Fort George.
The program is at 7 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for
those wanting to purchase
dinner or beverages. Minors
are welcome.

1. A mineral interest has been claimed on certain real property located
in Clatsop County, Oregon, commonly known as 85748 Northrup, Creek
Rd, Birkenfeld OR 97016-8229, and more particularly described as follows:
Parcel 1 of Partition Plat No. 1993-022, according to the plat recorded Sep-
tember 22, 1993, in Book 1, Page 135, Clatsop County Partition Plat Re-
cords. Acct. No. 0801 & 0803-60628-00103, Tax ID No. 7577 & 7578.
2. The names of the holders of the mineral interest, as shown of record, are
SWAN W. TORNBLAD and ANNA E. TORNBLAD, both of whom are now
believed to be deceased. A good faith effort has been made to determine the
location or status of any current holders of the mineral interest, and the
address of the current mineral interest holder is unknown and cannot be
determined by due diligence.
3. The instrument creating the original mineral interest was a Warranty
Deed dated June 25, 1981, recorded October 15, 1982, in Book 587, Page 66,
Records of Clatsop County, Oregon. The mineral interest holders reserved
all ownership of mineral rights on said property and the sole right to receive
any lease remuneration or mineral royalties during their lifetime either of
said mineral interest holders.
4. A description of the lands affected by the mineral interest are those
lands described in paragraph 1 above.

ACCEPTING BIDS
Warrenton-Hammond School District #30 is accepting bids for erosion
control at the Warrenton Grade School around the new modular buildings.
Bids will be accepted until 4 pm April 11th at the District Office located at
Warrenton Grade School. A walkthrough of the area is scheduled for April
5th at 10 am. Winning bid will be announced by April 16th.

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Warrenton-Ham-
mond School District #30, Clatsop County, State of Oregon, to dis-
cuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019, will
be held at Warrenton High School, 1700 S. Main Ave., Warrenton
OR. The meeting will take place on April 11th, 2018, at 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and
to receive comment from the public on the budget.

CITY OF WARRENTON
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing is scheduled before the City of Warrenton Planning
Commission at 6:00 p.m. regarding a land use application submitted by
Adam Crites for a wetland hardship variance. The variance would authorize
the placement of fill in approximately .49 acre of wetland to provide relief
to the prohibition of such action that otherwise renders the property not
buildable. The subject property consists of four lots—9,10,11, 12 Block 101-
-in Township 8 North, Range 10 West, Section 16DD, Tax Lot 1700 and is
located at 204 NW Cedar Ave.
This application will be reviewed under the procedures, standards and
criteria in Warrenton Development Code Sections 13.156.080 Hardship
Variance Procedure and Criteria, and 16.208.050 Type III Procedure –
Quasi-Judicial.
Anyone wishing to participate in the above-noted public hearing may
present testimony by either attending the public hearing and presenting
oral testimony to the Planning Commission, or by submitting written tes-
timony, which must be received by the Warrenton Planning and Building
Department no later than 5:00 P.M. on the day of the hearing. Written
comments may be mailed to Kevin A. Cronin, Interim Community Devel-

250, Warrenton Oregon, 97146-0250. Failure to raise an issue on the re-
