Photos by D.B. Lewis/The Columbia Press
A maintenance shed at Warrenton High School was used as
a practice burn by Warrenton Fire Department Wednesday
night. A new technology building will go in its place.
“Empathies and Energies,”
an exhibit of ceramics, prints
and photographs by three
Oregon artists, will be shown
April 2 to May 10 at the Royal
Nebecker Gallery on the cam-
pus of Clatsop Community
College.
The exhibit features ceram-
ics and prints by internation-
ally acclaimed artist Frank
Boyden of Otis, infrared pho-
tographs by Rich Bergeman
of Corvallis and ceramics and
sculpture by Renee McKit-
terick, chairwoman of the art
department at Linn-Benton
Community College in Alba-
ny.
A public reception for the
artists is at 6 p.m. Thursday,
April 5, in the gallery.
“Empathies and Energies”
takes its name from the com-
ingling of Boyden’s dry-point
Frank Boyden’s “Democracy”
etchings of anguished faces
with the fire and light that
McKitterick and Bergeman
use to create their ceramics
and infrared photographs.
The gallery is at 1799 Lex-

to 6 p.m. weekdays.

“I am honored to be asked
to serve in a leadership capac-

“We are seeing increased
fervor for the ideals our party
represents at the local, state
and national level, and I am
excited to help elect people
who share that fervor.”
The committee comprises
the precinct committee lead-
ers elected or appointed from
precincts throughout Clat-
sop County. The committee
meeting is held the fourth
