A woman who’d pur- chased a ring in the jewelry de- partment at Fred Meyer left the bag unattended on the Western Union counter and, when she returned moments later, it was gone. A review of store surveil- lance video showed two men taking the bag, with one of them signing a receipt for a money transfer. The man had the bag on him when he was tracked down an hour later.
