agreed to leave.
• Possible stolen dog, 12:45
p.m. Oct. 3, Animal Shelter. A
woman requested free food and
supplies for a dog she said she
found in California. The dog had
an implanted chip showing it
belonged to another person, but
the woman refused to leave the
dog at the shelter so the rightful
owner could be contacted. Police
found her a short time later and
she agreed to turn over the dog.
• Vandalism to business, 1:30
p.m. Oct. 4, 900 block Southeast
Marlin Ave.
• Noise disturbance, 9:43 p.m.
Oct. 4, 0-100 block 15 Street.
Neighbor was putting in new
flooring.
• Drunken man causing a distur-
bance, 9:27 p.m. Oct. 7, 1000
block Nautical Drive, Ham-
mond. Step-son arrived to take
him home.
• Welfare check, 11:33 a.m. Oct.
8, 200 block Southwest Sec-
ond Street. A neighbor asked
police to check on a neighbor.
He was found without pants or
underwear on and slumped on
the floor. He was incoherent
and couldn’t respond to officers’
questions. He was taken to the
hospital by Medix.
