INVITATION TO BID

WEST 7TH STREET PROJECT
Sealed bids for the “West 7TH Street Project” will be received by the
City of John Day until 1:00 PM local time on August 18th, 2022 at
City Hall, 450 East Main St., John Day, Oregon 97845 or at bid open-
ing site. Bids will be opened and read aloud at 1:00 P.M., August
18th, 2022 at the City of John Day, Fire Hall Conference Room, 316
S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, Oregon.
Proposals shall be clearly marked “West 7TH Street 7 Project” along
with time and date of bid opening and shall be delivered or mailed
and received before the above hour and date to City of John Day,
450 East Main Street, John Day, OR 97845, attention Corum
Ketchum, City Manager.
A non-mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held August 4th, 2022 at
11am local time at the site. Work is to commence within 10 days of
the date of the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed by Novem-
ber 30th, 2022.

Block Landscaping Wall, Infiltration Basins, 10” & 12” Storm Drain
Pipe Installation, and (6) Catch Basins.
Additional work that will be awarded on a separate bid schedule con-
sists of the following:

Base Rock, 44 Ton of ¼”-0” Paver Base Sand, 5850 SF of Pavers.

Summary of Complaint:
The plaintiffs are asking the court to declare that the plaintiffs are only legal owners of the property known
as The Morris Quartz Lode Mining Claim, Grant County Tax Acct #4 10-34 Tax Lot 200 Ref 2561 and that
none of the defendants or their heirs have any legal claim to the property.

Tier Subcontractor Form (within two hours of bid closing). Once
awarded a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and one
hundred percent (100%) payment bond will be required to guarantee
the faithful performance of the contract. Bidders need to be aware
that City of John Day’s office hours are M-Th 8:00am-4:00pm and
that overnight delivery service is not always available in this area.
The Contract is for public work subject to ORS 279C.800 to
279C.870.
The City of John Day reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it
is in the public interest to do so, may reject any bid not in compliance
with all bidding procedures and requirements, to postpone the award
for 30 days, to delete items from the proposal, and to award the con-
tract to the lowest possible bidder per each schedule listed.
