Beginning Ballet
Explore beginning ballet
techniques focused on using
ballet as a well-balanced physi-
cal practice that increases
strength, fl exibility and bal-
ance.
This is a hybrid class, avail-
able both in-person at Peak
Lifestyle Studio (1118 Adams
Ave.) or virtually via Zoom.

Knitting Fundamentals: Knit-
ting, Purling and Panicking
A weekly opportunity for
novice knitters to learn a new
craft or brush up on a skill
they may have set aside — it’s
an open forum for beginner
and intermediate knitters to
develop and refine their skills.
Students will learn the fun-
damentals of knitting from
needle composition, yarn
fiber content, basic steps and
pattern reading. This class
will also cover the basics of
“sheep to shawl” (from cre-
ation of yarn to finished proj-
ect). All supplies included.

Creative Writing: From Image
to Story
Explore creative writing and
storytelling by first examin-
ing images provided by the
instructor and then developing
the stories that the pictures
tell. Bring your favorite note-
Wild School
An outdoor class at Pete’s
Pond for children to connect
with nature and friends, create
art using a variety of mediums
and engage in science (na-
tive plant identification, water
quality monitoring, etc.). Each
class begins with circle time
to discuss the day’s activities
and topic, then moves on to
nature-based art and hands-
on science activities. During
the last 30 minutes of the
class students can choose to
journal, sculpt with clay, finish
up their art or play a game
based on the theme of the
day. They’ll also have time to
explore the natural setting of
Pete’s Pond (a Blue Mountains
Conservancy property ac-
cessed via the south end of
Second Street).
