monthly literary event will be vir-

Formerly of Omaha, Nebras-
ka, where they played defensive
back for the Nebraska Nite-
Hawks of the WNFC until their
transition, Phoenix (they, them,
theirs) is a non-binary Trans-
masculine Creative and Spoken
Word Artist now living in Port-
land. They’ve been featured on
the social audio app Clubhouse
by Love & Lyrics as well as Mike
Guinn Entertainment, and can be
seen live at such local Portland
venues as The Queens Head
and Alberta Street Pub. Visit

CORNHOLE FOR CHARITY
SEEKS PARTICIPANTS
PENDLETON — The char-
ity event Cornhole for a Cause
is Thursday, May 19, 5 p.m.
in the Happy Canyon Arena,
1601 Westgate. The event also
features a silent auction, door
prizes, a 50-50 drawing and a
no-host bar.
Each team that enters will
choose a charity to play for —
the selected charities of the
fi rst, second and third place
teams will receive a donation.
In addition, winning teams will
receive a prize package from
local businesses.
The registration fee is $60.

TO HEADLINE FRONTIER

music duo Brothers Osborne
will headline the 2022 Walla
Walla Fair & Frontier Days.
Concert tickets, which include
admission to the fair, range from
$54 to $114.
The show is Aug. 31, 7 p.m.,
the opening day of the fair. With
a theme of “Comin’ in Hot,” the
fair runs through Sept. 4.
Described as a mix between
Southern rock and outlaw
country, Brothers Osborne is
best known for their 2015 song
“Stay a Little Longer.” It climbed
into the top fi ve on Billboard Hot
Country Songs and Country
Airplay charts.
