Days/Hours: 40 hours per week
– Monday-Thursday 10 hour
days (Winter snowplow schedule
varies)
Salary/Benefits: $22.87 per hour
with full county benefits
Job Duties: Works cooperatively
with other members of the de-
partment’s road maintenance
crew. Perform a wide variety of
road maintenance and construc-
tion tasks.
Applicants must be able to read
and write, communicate effec-
tively, understand plans and pro-
files from approved construction
drawings, follow instructions and
work effectively on an independ-
ent basis, or work cooperatively,
as part of a team. Basic knowl-
edge of workplace safety stan-
dards,
general
equipment
maintenance, and radio commu-
nications is preferred. This posi-
tion is expected to operate a
variety of road maintenance and
construction equipment including
pickups, dump trucks, snowplow,
truck/trailer
combinations,
brooms, loaders, graders, back-
hoes and rollers, and use a vari-
ety of hand and power tools.
Screening Requirements: Ap-
plicants must hold a valid Class-
A Oregon Commercial Driver’s
License. At least 3 years of expe-
rience is required in general
maintenance and construction
work including use of construc-
tion equipment and tools, equiv-
alent training or satisfactory
combination of training and expe-
rience required to perform the es-
sential functions of the job. The
applicant selected will be re-
quired to pass a pre-employment
drug test and criminal back-
ground check.
