Grant Weed Control will be applying herbicides on Grant County
Road Right-of-Ways for the purpose of controlling noxious weeds.
This is a reminder to adjacent landowners concerned about her-
bicide applications that it is your responsibility to initiate a “NO
SPRAY” agreement at the Grant Soil and Water Conservation Dis-
trict office. Please note that these agreements need to be renewed
on a yearly basis by February 11, 2022. For questions call Grant

The City of Mt. Vernon is seeking a volunteer to fill a vacancy on
the Mt. Vernon City Council.
Applications are due by February 7, 2022 @ 4:00 p.m. The ap-
pointee will fill a term through Dec. 31, 2022. Applicants must be
at least 18 years old, registered to vote, and have lived in Mt. Ver-
non for a year or more.
Applications are available at city hall from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
