The one-hour sessions start at 6 p.m. Registration is $120, or $110 for Fishtrappers. Regis- ter online at www.fi shtrap.org. This workshop, according to the Fishtrap website, “will fl ip traditional understandings of environmental writing by read- ing work that pushes the tradi- tional boundaries of the genre. Readings, which will be largely completed outside of workshop sessions, will serve to help us redefi ne and reimagine environ- mental writing.” Each workshop session will include discussion of readings and ideas, brainstorming, and a generative prompt and writing time. By the end of the month, participants will have an essay drafted, as well as resources for revision and publication. Withnall’s work has appeared in Al Jazeera, Gay Magazine, The Kenyon Review, River Teeth, The Indiana Review, Fourth River, The Rumpus, Orion, and Ms. Magazine, among others. She is a recipient of the AWP Kurt Brown award in creative nonfi ction, a John Anson Kit- tredge Foundation grant, and she has received fellowships from Fishtrap Summer Work- shop and Under the Volcano She currently serves as a fel- low for Community Change and she is at work on a book about domestic violence and hydrau- lic fracturing.
