Magazine B AKER CITY — The deadline is fast approaching to buy tickets for the third annual Okto- berfest fundraiser that supports Crossroads Carnegie Art Center — an event that won the 2020 “Fundraiser of the Year” award from the Oregon Festivals and Events Association. The 2021 version, set for Sat- urday, Oct. 16, is again a drive- thru event from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Baker Event Center, 2600 East St., Baker City. Dinner tickets are $40 per person and must be purchased by 5 p.m. Oct. 9 online at https:// one.bidpal.net/21oktoberfest/ welcome. Bid- ding closes Sunday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. Ginger Savage, Crossroads director, said the auction features more than 100 items, including fi ve travel packages, gift certifi - cates to local businesses, various gift baskets and lots of artwork. “Crossroads has been blessed,” Savage said. “There are two Pendleton blankets, snowshoes and an Anthony Lakes pass, a homemade delivered soup dinner, tickets to go see ‘West Side Story’ at the Eltrym Theater and dinner, farm fresh eggs, quilts — the list goes on and on.
