by seven different piano players.

TUNE TOURS RETURNS TO
BAKER CITY
BAKER CITY — Jon Deshler
and his “Tune Tours” band returns
this weekend for three shows on
Saturday.
The group will play Satur-
day, Sept. 25, at 12:30 p.m. and
2:30 p.m. at the National Historic
Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.
They will play a third show at
5 p.m. at Geiser-Pollman Park in
Baker City.
Admission is free to all perfor-
mances.
Deshler is joined by Nate
Deshler on piano, Neal Grandstaff
on guitar, and bass player Justin
Schepige. He describes their
sound as “jazzy,” and said the
band will play songs across 150
years of American history.

ton Round-Up & Happy Canyon
Hall of Fame Museum are paying
tribute to one of the top animals
in rodeo with “War Paint — Horse
of the Decades, A Gala Celebra-
tion” on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Noted for his incredible buck-
ing style and highly respected

by cowboys across the country,
War Paint was honored three
times as the “Bucking Horse
of the Year” by the ProRodeo
Cowboy Association. War Paint
has been inducted into multiple
Rodeo Hall of Fames includ-
ing the Pendleton Round-Up &
Happy Canyon Hall of Fame.
The day of celebration will
include free family activities
at the Hall of Fame, 1114 SW
Court Ave., from 10 a.m. to
2 p.m. The event will then move
to a ticketed gala celebration
at the Pendleton Convention
Center from 5:30-11 p.m. The
evening will include a program
highlighting the iconic story of
War Paint with early day photos
and film footage of War Paint in
action and cowboy memories. A
buffet dinner followed by guest
band Sunday Saloon for music
and dancing will cap off the
celebration.
Tickets for the gala are $30.
