al seeding, located approximately 35 miles south east of Burns,
Oregon, within the Beaver Table mount range. The seeding
consists of approximately 1,200 acres of ariel application. Seed

1. Public Hearing to address application AR2-21-03, submit-
ted by Storm Carpenter to place a Template Test Dwell-
ing. The property is identified as tax lot 1701, located at
Township 14 South, Range 32 East, Section 11, W.M.

and Multiple Use Range Zone.

RUNWAY 17-35 IMPROVEMENTS
AT
GRANT COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT
JOHN DAY, OREGON
Interested parties are hereby notified that the Federal Aviation Ad-
ministration (FAA) requested the development of an Environmen-
tal Assessment (EA) for Runway 17-35 improvements at the Grant
County Regional Airport, located near John Day, Oregon. These
improvements are collectively referred to as the Proposed Action:
• Widen Runway 17-35 from 60 to 75 feet.
• Reconstruct Runway 17-35 to increase runway single wheel
capacity to 16,000 pounds or more.
• Relocate PAPI, runway edge lights, and threshold lights.
• Repaint Runway 17-35 Markings
The EA has been prepared in compliance with the National En-
vironmental Policy Act. The purpose of the EA is to assess the
effects on the human and natural environment associated with the
Proposed Action. The EA evaluated two alternatives: No Action
Alternative and Proposed Action Alternative.
The Grant County Regional Airport will be holding an open house
to provide information regarding the Proposed Action and the En-
vironmental Assessment as well as to allow for an opportunity to
receive public comments or questions regarding the Proposed Ac-
tion and Environmental Assessment.
The Open House will be held Monday, August 16th, 2021, from
4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Main Conference Room of the Termi-
nal Building at the Grant County Regional Airport, 72000 Airport
Road, John Day, OR 97845.
