General Job Duties: Coordi-
nate, develop, implement and
evaluate Grant County’s emer-
gency preparedness program,
plans and services. Supervise
volunteer programs related to
emergency preparedness.
Screening Requirements:
Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree
in Business Administration or
related field; and two years
experience relating to emer-
gency services activities and
safety issues, or a satisfactory
combination of experience and
training which demonstrates
the knowledge, skills and
abilities to perform the above
described duties. Training in
HAZ-MAT hazardous materials
to the awareness level and a
working knowledge of emer-
gency management protocols
and procedures is required,
sufficient administrative, man-
agement, and computer skills.
Possess a valid Oregon Driver’s
License and, or the ability to
obtain, a current First Aid / CPR
card. Must have an accept-
able criminal history and must
maintain this qualification at all
times during employment. A
criminal background check will
be conducted for the applicant
selected.
Hours & Days: 40 hours per
week – Monday-Friday 8 am to
5 pm
Salary/Benefits: $4,833 per
month with full county benefits

The successful applicant will
work directly with students
under supervision of the
SLP, implement and assist in
carrying out student goals and
objectives, record data and
report changes in performance
of students, prepare materi-
als, assist with clerical and
recordkeeping duties, schedule
students and meetings, assist
and complete speech/language/
hearing screenings, and provide
academic and/or behavioral
supports. The applicant will
work well with others and com-
municate effectively (both oral
and written) with students, staff,
and parents.
Current license with the Oregon
Board of Examiners for Speech
Language Pathology and
Audiology is required. Must
be willing to respect student
confidentiality and abide by all
FERPA rules and regulations.
Training in behavior and de-es-
calation procedures preferred.
Must be able to pass a criminal
background check and finger-
print check.
The successful applicant will be
placed on the classified salary
scale according to experience
and education.
First year SLPA wage is $19.75/
hour, experienced SLPA wage
$20.81/hour.
Benefits include retirement,

leave.
