To qualify, a contractor must have a Certified Lead-Based Paint Renovation Contractor’s License and experience installing weath- erization measures on both manufactured and site-built homes. Contractor and contractor’s crew must be able to consistently fol- low detailed weatherization specifications. Typical work includes blowing insulation in building cavities such as floors, ceilings and exterior walls, sealing ductwork, twining insulation under floors, air sealing the building shell, installing exhaust fans and exterior doors and windows. Contractors barred from federal contracts will not be considered eligible.
