Salary/Benefits: $19.45 to
$23.67 per hour (depending on
qualifications) with full benefits
Job Duties: Perform work in
the care and custody of inmates
in the Grant County Criminal
Justice Facility. Process indi-
viduals in and out of the facility,
provide meal service and
dispense medicine to inmates,
recordkeeping, housekeeping,
and other daily operations in
and around the facility. May be
required to deal with violent
and combative individuals that
would require considerable
physical effort.
Screening Requirements:
21 years of age or older for
legal qualification. High school
graduation or equivalency.
Some knowledge of policies,
procedures and techniques
relating to the custody, care and
transportation of prisoners, and
the applicable laws and regu-
lations. Possess a Department
of Public Safety Standards &
Training (DPSST) Corrections
Certificate or the ability to
obtain within one year of hire.
Must be able to pass a written
exam prior to being considered
for the interview process.
Necessary Special Require-
ments: Possess or ability to
obtain a valid Oregon Driver’s
license and be able to meet
county’s driving standards.
Ability to pass a criminal
background check. Be able to
complete the PRE-CORPAT
physical requirements to per-
form the day to day operations
