Future Community Hall
The Dayville Community Hall was built in 1920. Throughout the past 100 years, this grand building has served as a school
gymnasium, dance hall, roller skating rink, movie theater, box factory during World War II, meeting hall and home for
the South Fork Theater Group. It has provided a meeting area for traveling shows, weddings, receptions, parties, memorial
services, school functions and community gatherings.
The Dayville community was awarded $1,972,000 to renovate the community hall. This restoration and renovation project
is currently under way with a completion date of mid-Summer 2021. These renovations will include restoring the main
hall, with construction of a new commercial grade kitchen and restrooms. Fundraising and donation dollars that have been
raised throughout the years are assisting in these renovations/improvements as well.
The Community Hall has served the Dayville area well throughout the past 100 years. Many fond memories have been
made within those walls, and the community bonds have been strengthened by those memories. It is the vision and mission
of the Dayville Community Hall Renovation Committee to keep the spirit of our cherished hall alive and thriving.
