The Malheur National Forest, Emigrant Creek Ranger District, is proposing to implement decisions regarding rangeland management actions on the Big Sagehen, Bridge Creek, and Sil- vies grazing allotments. District Ranger Joshua Giles is the Re- sponsible Official for this project. The analysis area is located about 18 miles north of Burns, Oregon in Grant and Harney coun- ties, and encompasses about 38,061 acres in size, located within the Silvies River watershed. The Emigrant Creek Ranger District proposes modifications to grazing practices, changes to pasture boundaries, and the addition of structures and improvements to meet the purpose and need to reflect current management direc- tion, policies, other applicable laws and regulations, and to ad- dress resource concerns to achieve desired conditions.
