REDUCTION IN LIFELINE SUPPORT
Recently, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released
an Order (FCC 11-42) that made significant Changes to the federal
and state Low Income Program known as Lifeline. Lifeline, which
currently provides assistance to more than 7 million eligible consum-
ers, is intended to help make local telephone service more afford-
able.
Because of these changes, beginning with your December 2019 bill
your monthly Lifeline credits will potentially decrease by $2.00 per
month.

THIS BEING the 2nd day of June, 2010, and a day set aside for a
regular meeting of the Grant County Court, and there being present
County Judge Mark R. Webb and County Commissioners Scott W.
Myers and Boyd Britton;
LET IT BE KNOWN that discrimination in the sale, rental, lease, ad-
vertising of sale, rental or lease, financing of housing or land to be
used for construction of housing, or in the provision of brokerage,
rental services because of race, color, sex, mental or physical dis-
ability, familial status or national origin is prohibited by Title VIII of
the federal Fair Housing Amendments of 1988 and to implement a
Fair Housing Program to ensure equal opportunity in housing for all
persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, mental or physical
disability, familial status or national origin. Therefore, Grant County
does hereby pass the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED that within the resources available to Grant Coun-
ty through city, county, state, federal and community volunteer sourc-
es, Grant County will assist all persons who feel they have been
discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, mental
or physical disability, familial status or national origin in the process
of filing a complaint with the Oregon Civil Rights Division or the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development, Seattle Regional
Office Compliance Division, that they may see equity under federal
and state laws.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Grant County shall publicize this
resolution and through this publicity shall cause real estate brokers
and sellers, private home sellers, rental owners, rental property
managers, real estate and rental advertisers, lenders, buildings, de-
velopers, home buyers and home or apartment renters to become
aware of their respective responsibilities and rights under the Fair
Housing Amendments Act of 1988 and any applicable state or local
laws or ordinances.
THE FAIR HOUSING PROGRAM, for the purpose of informing those
affected of their respective responsibilities and rights concerning
Fair Housing law and compliant procedures, will at a minimum in-
clude, but not be limited to 1) the printing, publicizing and distribution
of this Resolution; 2.) distribution of flyers, posters, pamphlets and
other applicable Fair Housing information provided by local, state
and federal sources, through local media of community contacts;
and 3.) the publicizing of locations where assistance will be provided
to those seeking to file a discrimination complaint.

Grant County Emergency Communications Agency
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Grant County
Emergency Communications Agency, County of Grant, State of Ore-
gon, to discuss the budget for the year January 1, 2020 to December
31, 2020 will be held in the John Day Fire Hall Community Room,
316 S Canyon Blvd, John Day Oregon. The meeting will take place
on Monday the 18th day of November at 6:00 pm. The purpose is
to receive the budget message and comments from the public on
the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or
obtained on or after November 15th, 2019, at Solutions CPAs, 101
NE First Ave, John Day Oregon between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee

MALHEUR NATIONAL FOREST
The 16 Road DTM Sale is located within T 16S R 35E sections 17,
19, 20 and T 16S R 34E sections 23 and 24. The Forest Service will
receive sealed bids in public at Malheur National Forest, Supervi-
sor’s Office at 10:00 AM local time on 11/20/2019 for an estimated
volume of 154 CCF of Ponderosa Pine sawtimber, 7 CCF of White
Fir and other coniferous species sawtimber, 94 CCF of Ponderosa
Pine non-saw, and 6 CCF of White Fir and other coniferous species
non-saw marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The Forest
Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested par-
ties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospec-
tus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the
conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public
