The Dayville Community Hall was built in 1920. Throughout the past 99 years, this great building has served as a school gymnasium,
dance hall, roller skating rink, movie theater, box factory during World War II, meeting hall and home for the South Fork Theater
Group. This beloved building has provided a meeting area for traveling shows, weddings, receptions, parties, memorial services, school
functions and community gatherings.
The Dayville community is thrilled to be awarded a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $1,450,000. The renovation of
the hall will take place over the next two years, with a completion date of August 2021. These renovations will include restoring the main
hall, with construction of a new commercial grade kitchen and restrooms. Fundraising and donation dollars that have been raised
throughout the years are assisting in these renovations/improvements as well.
The Community Hall has served the Dayville area well throughout the past 99 years. Many fond memories have been made within
those walls, and the community bonds have been strengthened by those memories. It is the vision and mission of the Dayville
Community Hall Renovation Committee to keep the spirit of our cherished hall alive and thriving.
