Grant County ESD is seek-

combined Special Education
Instructional Assistant/Speech
Language Pathologist Assis-
tant. This position is for 7.5
hours per day – 4 days per
school week. Duties will be split
between serving students as a
Special Education Instructional
Assistant and SLPA. The SpEd
duties will be under the direc-
tion of the Grant ESD Special
Education teacher, while the
speech/language duties will
be under the direction of the
Grant ESD Speech Language
Pathologist.
Requirements:
• Possess an associate’s
degree or be able to pass the
paraprofessional certification
assessment test
• Currently licensed with the
Oregon Board of Examiners for
Speech Language Pathology
and Audiology for SLPA duties.
• Ability to respect student
confidentiality and abide by all
FERPA rules and regulations
• Training in behavior and
de-escalation procedures
preferred
• Must be able to pass a
criminal background check and
fingerprint check
Compensation:
The successful applicant will be
placed on the classified salary
scale according to experience
and education for SpEd duties
(range is currently $14.35-
$17.45/hour), while SLPA duties
will be paid at the transitional
wage of $18.51/hour. Insurance
benefits are calculated at .8
FTE. This is a PERS-eligible
position.
